When you stand on the street, in the countryside or in a living room, the light is often reflected of different surfaces. With the huge soft light source of the sky and sun bouncing of buildings and trees you get a beautiful mix of colors, yet the subtle light reflected looks white but isn’t.
The reflections in skin tones, objects and surfaces are full of hues and rarely just white.
With modern cameras and their sensors getting better and more sensitive, there is no longer need for a white or silver bounce to get the right exposure. The Bluff Bounce lifts the shadows in a more subtle, neutral and authentic way than a white, muslin, gold or silver butterfly bounce would do.
